She has worked with groundbreaking brands including Rolex and Hermès, as well as celebrity clients including Selena Gomez, Kiera Knightley, Octavia Spencer, Zoe Saldana, and Mindy Kaling.

Nycole feels a passion to help people feel better about how they look and loves breaking boundaries as a multicultural stylist. Nycole’s hair philosophy is grounded in the science of knowing and understanding all hair types.

While she was busy immersing herself in the depths of the beauty industry, Nycole was also battling a silent disease. At Nycole’s eight-week checkup during her pregnancy, her doctor noticed she was showing much quicker than a woman would in a normal pregnancy. Due to hormonal changes, Nycole’s body was feeding her fibroid at an accelerated rate. She was told that her pregnancy would be a difficult one and even gave her the option to terminate the pregnancy.

Nycole knew in her heart that day that God was with her. She knew her purpose in life was to be a mother to her baby. She felt her baby’s strength and beauty and knew that she needed to endure anything that came in her way for the sake of her child. In the past, Nycole had dealt with loss and miscarriage but felt something in her baby’s heartbeat that gave her hope that something was different this time.  Over the next seven months she was in and out of the hospital and at one point, bedridden.

Besides all the difficulties she faced, Nycole loved being pregnant - growing and nurturing her daughter. She kept a positive attitude throughout the entire time and was comforted by the thought that if she felt secure, her daughter would too. There was nothing to be sad about – she was able to conceive and carry a beautiful baby, whose powerful kicks were felt with the utmost love.

By 37 weeks, all of the doctors’ expectations were surpassed. With her fibroid tumor now 27 centimeters wide and weighing almost nine pounds, her doctor had many concerns for her safety. After giving birth by C-section, the scariest day of her life simultaneously became the most beautiful one. After hearing her healthy daughter cry for the first time, Nycole felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and knew that her journey was so worthwhile.

Nycole hopes to use her story to inspire other women who are living with a fibroid tumor, especially those who may be pregnant or just need some extra hope. She encourages others to advocate for themselves, stay strong in who they are, and never stop thinking positively.
